In the funky Seattle neighbourhood of Fremont, lives a burger joint not to be missed. Blue Moon Burgers offer a gluten free bun, and a dedicated gfree fryer for those greasy french fries you've been reminiscing about. The restaurant itself is not much to speak of, its fast food style ordering, and a seat yourself kind of place, but you're not there for the ambience are you? The menu offers signature burgers, and a build your own burger option. I decided to build my own, and went for the beef patty and pepper jack cheese, with a side of fries.
My fellow gluten-avoider chose the beef with cheddar. Lucky for us, it was Wednesday, half price burger night. Wow! Gluten free and a discount? Thats unheard of! We both really enjoyed the bun, I think its among the best I've found. The texture and taste were both perfect, and the fries were delish too. Check them out next time you're in the Emerald city!
After being on medication to prevent daily migraines for 14 years, I was diagnosed by an amazing naturopath in Fort Langley BC as gluten-intolerant. Within a month, the migraines were all but gone. Now, 5 years later, I still remember what good food tastes like, and I refuse to settle for less. I have found many a gluten free product that was better suited as a paper-weight, but I have found some real gems as well. Follow me to the best in gluten free!
